"i make 100+ million a year and ran one of the largest companies in the cornerstone of transportation into the ground due to greed and bad decisions. Can I borrow a few billion from the taxpayers and then charge them more for my services?"

1) That's amazing PR
2) If my CEO was making the same amount as me I would be working much harder right now.
3) It's actually a genuinely good thing to do for this world. |

Here it's all about the bottom line: the almighty dollar...and whatever you have to do to get your grubby little hands on it. He who cashes out first and ends up with the biggest haul wins...

Michael Bloomberg for example makes $1/year as mayor of New York, which isn't hard for him since he's a billionaire. But this guy is probably independently wealthy as well. It sounds like he's doing a great job, but I wouldn't say that this is totally unique to Japan. There are examples of people sacrificing their time for others around the world. |

If I was a CEO of a company like this I would definitely work for a couple of years for a few tens of thousands of dollars and then retire to live off of my modest savings.

If I ever make it this far in business, I want to make enough to live a modest life, but I can't imagine making millions a year.
He is someone I could model myself after.
