Mohawk or "No"-hawk?

Sign in to disble this ad
Ladies and gentlemen, I am considering a change of hairdo.

Right now, my hair pretty much sproings into "up mode" whenever I don't goo it down. Here's what I'm talking about:

Pretty much:

So now, I'm seriously looking into shaving it into a mohawk. Not a "fauxhawk" or a weenie Beckham-style landing-strip, but a full-on mohawk that I can color and have some fun with.

My wife gave me the go-ahead (she's so awesome!) so hurdle one is out of the way. My day-job allows for wearing a cap, so there's no problem there either. My new band plays mostly classic rock and funk, and we're just about having fun on stage, so no prob there either. 'Sall me.

Have any of you switched to the Mo? Or had a band member who did? if so, how did that affect your band dynamic and fan or crowd rapport? Let me know please!!

-and if I take the plunge, obligatory pics will be forthcoming of course. Thanks in advance-

I think you should try it and have fun. Hey if it doesn't work out, theres no harm done; its just hair right? I think a mohawk would be awesome.

Why the hell not? Go for it. Worst thing that can happen is you hate it and have to grow your hair out again.

I speak for the bassists losing hair at a fast rate and we agree with our bald bretheren.

Also,if you're not sure jumping into a real yellow mohawk, you could try the "Mac Tavish" style first.I was seriously considering this in the summer, then I realised with half of my hair gone it'd be no where near cool as this.

Do it. Why not right?

Grow it more and go "Glen Plake" style. This guy was the man back in the 80's on the ski scene

Do it. Especially if you've never had a hawk 'before. They are fun, and best of all they are EASY. No matter how easy your hair do is now, a hawk is 500 times easier. Plus, coloring is always awesome. They're also "out" from a fashion perspective right now, which is one of the reasons I do something.

I think your current hair suits you but a mohawk is fun, too. I'm currently growing out my mohawk which is kind of a pain but for a guy it isn't as long of a process.
