How do you break a lawnmower? Was she trying to mow a brick or something?

Um...

Not an excuse.

Even during my hardest jobs, I still mowed the lawn.

Did she turn it upside down or something?

Does it have gas?

that was my first thought... My mom, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law and wife will never have to push a mower around for as long as I am able.

and I do 12 hour workdays with commuting figured in.

Yep, you should be mowing.

I used to drive home from college once a week to mow the lawn for my mom.

Sounds like it's time to get out the scissors.

Better still, fix the mower. You're a bass player, and bass players are supposed to be resourceful.
