This is pretty cool. Jaguars used to be pretty common in the SW. It's nice to see them back. The cool thing about Jaguars is that despite the fact they are the third largest cats in world, and may have the most powerful bite of any cat (they often bite straight through the skull to the brain,) they almost never attack people. That said, I wouldn't hang around a hungry one!

I had no idea that jaquars were ever in North America. And yes, I've also heard that they have the most powerful bite of ANY big cat, not just pound-for-pound. What would they hunt in AZ?

I have heard that jaguars used to be found as far north as San Francisco. As for what they would hunt, that would be anything they wanted!
