I feel bad laughing, but I keep visualizing that when it happened, the guy on the other end of the conversation must have been having one of those moments like you see on the AT&T cell phone commercial where the call drops in the middle of a joke, and the guy thinks he offended the other party.

- Dave | I am so glad that I didn't have a mouthful of soda when I read that...
...should I feel bad about this? I think no...I just see the addition of a bit of chlorine to the gene pool...

- Dave | He was probably on foot because he failed the part of the driving test about crossing train tracks when the gate is down....

Well done, good Sir.

We were just discussing invoices and shipping policies and... THUMP Aaaaaghh!!! *sound of glass smashing * *screaming*...
...Then a few seconds later she gets back on the phone and says "Sorry about that, we were just in an accident, what were you saying?"
I was like "hang up the goddam phone and call the police, your insurance, and an ambulance! We'll talk about invoices later!" She kept talking and apologizing for the interruption, so I think she was in shock. After a few tries I finally got her to hang up.
Anyway, in the first few moments I thought I was listening to somebody die. |
