Wouldn't it be easer and faster than texting if cell phones had a Morse Code function?? Does anyone here besides me remember what it is??
My Dad used to build and play around with Morse Code equipment. He could do it DAMN fast and so could the people he communicated with.
Maybe I should invent a Morse Code wireless system??
What's ya'all thoughts?? |

The team using Morse Code won. Personally I think texting works better for a cell phone. If you're in a situation where you can hear dots and dashes, you could simply make a call instead. Texting is better for high noise (concert) and very quiet (library) environments and for messages you can't get to right away. Plus you've seen how bad text speak is, imagine how hard it is to translate random dots and dashes from those morons.

I can text pretty fast, and with T9 it can be done without looking at the screen. If morse code was significantly faster then itd be worth it, but I dont think the time saved would justify a whole new system. |

I guess having an option for both would be cool. |

| | | | My Dad was a radio operator in WWII and was able to copy about 30 words per minute. Later in his life he had alzheimer's and was not able to remember much of anything, however he could still copy Morse code.
I tried for some time to learn to copy but found it frustratingly difficult. Interestingly enough I was able to send code REAL fast but sucked at copying. |

No waiting the extra second for the dash if you know what I mean. The recieving phone would change it to text. |

Unless you're in the basement of the science lab.
This cell phone mod would probably get you more naked chicks than Morse code. |
