Ok, it has A LOT more than just Alf. Alvin and the Chipmunks, Winnie the Pooh, the Smurfs, everyone you could imagine. YouTube - ‪Cartoon All Stars (Completo)‬‏
While I don't do drugs, just cause I don't see the real benefit/attraction right now and don't have money lol. Yet, I find this completely fail.

Here is a condensed review from the Nostalgia Critic. YouTube - Classic Nostalgia Critic - Cartoon Allstars Review
It's D.A.R.E. era propaganda. |

Apparently didn't work very well though...

Wait, that's not what the rest of the world says, maybe I should experiment with some of these things for myself.
Whoa that one does what? Oh I definitely got to try some of that.
Good job DARE program!
If it weren't for you I wouldn't had known about the drugs I wanted to try at such an early age and also probably wouldn't have questioned authority as much.

I remember watching this video when I was seven years old. I seriously thought that there was no such thing as marijuana and it was just a made up substance that was used in the film. Because let's face it - when you're told that smoking is bad, you get it into your head that burning a leaf and breathing in it's smoke is a bad idea and logically nobody would do it because it's stupid. Of course, I still find it at least a little silly to burn leaves and breathe in the smoke, but my opinion on the matter has become much more educated.

If it weren't for you I wouldn't had known about the drugs I wanted to try at such an early age and also probably wouldn't have questioned authority as much. | My experience was similar, if not quite identical. In 6th grade we got a big presentation on the dangers of drugs. They told us that if we took drugs we would go crazy, we would jump out of windows thinking we could fly, we would cut off our own limbs and eat them, etc. So naturally, we asked out teacher, "why do people take drugs if they are so bad?" The dismissive reply: "Well I guess some people are just stupid and want to kill themselves". That answer made no sense to me, even as a sixth grader. Then a year or two later I saw some kids smoking weed, and they weren't going violently crazy. They were laughing and having a good time. Hmm, maybe I should try it and find out what the deal is ...
I think anti-drug education is a good idea, but I think it would be a lot more effective if it told kids the truth. And the first, undeniable truth about drugs is that it feels good to get high. The long term consequences of that good feeling may not be worth it, and that's where honest education would be helpful.
