This guy just killed John to have his name tied with the death of a celebrity. He wanted to gain fame through killing someone (Johnny Carson was on his list before John). This is exactly what he wanted. It makes me sick. I can't believe anyone could be so inconsiderate to Yoko, Julian or Sean either.

The man shot my hero, and he gets a movie made about him.

I doubt that the low life is getting any money from it. It's just a low-budget "art house" movie, so just ignore it and it'll probably go away quickly. Saw a review in the NY Times today, they said it was a "total bummer". I doubt it'll even make a tiny dent in the box office.

I know he killed Lennon and all that , but he's human too . For gods sake , if any of us meat heads would have understood what actually went on inside his head , we'd be in a better position , but no......get in the herd mentallity and lock the guy away for who knows what odd 35 years or something .

It's the same thing as the WWII . History is always written by the winners . Who knows the other side of the story . Who saw the german kid at the end of the first depression going hungry coz he dad's boss flat out refused to pay him that night....

Anyways , I'm not gonna stand here and shed more of my opinions . All I'm saying is that the guy has suffered . We arent all saints and neither are we angels .

and the guy was one of lennons biggest fans.....why did he kill him ?? Guess NOW we'll never know....

Meh, I don't see what the big deal is. Movies are made about the back story of tragic events all the time. This one bothers you, another one will bother someone else. If you don't want to see it, don't watch it.

So it's not that he's screwed up, it's that we should learn that sometimes, killing innocent people is okay? Makes sense.

He's suffered? Oh no, that's not good, that doesn't seem very fair. He only killed someone in cold blood, but he probably had a good reason, so let's ease off the guy, give him a break.

I've seen a few programs on what happened in my time, and they've all said how messed up the guy was in the head. I mean, the guy just sounded MESSED. I'm not saying jack about him at all, but I still dislike the herd metality "OMG, he's scum, NEVER RELEASE HIM EVER!!!!!"...

A good many of those hippies from the lousy boomer generation were proven hypocrites. Some as early on as Dec. 6 1969.

About the movie and whoever made it: I wonder if they are really trying to tell his story or continue to glamourize that ****.
