and really a simple card can have more meaning than gifts.
yes gifts are nice too....duh
a card is a simple piece of paper little or no value, what you dont get is what you actually write in the card has more meaning.
But if you buy a large card and actually write something in there that has a cute little love letter the tears will fall and they feel much more appreciated.
simple...overview the reasons you love her, talk about the simple things in life and how they have much more meaning when she is around.
if you took a trip or vacation recap the special moments
if she does things for you, the children and friends, thank her for her time and helping. Talk about family life and friends.
Just pretty much sum up your lifes together and express how much better it is when she is around. Maybe even throw in a couple of jokes here and there. Or include funny things that might have happened over the year. You know make it seem like you actually paid attention. Or mention funny quirks about her you love. Even say that listening to her snoring at night sounds like angels singing. (ok just kidding) you get the point
for god sakes if you had a #### up or screwed up sometime recent, dont bring it up in the card and apologize. this just reminds them of the bad moment. leave that krap out!! only positive stuff
remember its not the card....its what you say in the card.
