I'd vote stale. Because that's the form any Peeps I'm given will end up in. Stale and on their way to a landfill unless I've managed to pawn them off on someone else.

Fresh ... they make pretty good string mutes if you stuff 'em up near the bridge ... and are a handy snack to boot!

At first i thought you guys were talking about farts. Then, I thought, that'd be weird and you cant leave them out on counters OR use them as string mutes.

Peeps have never, nor never will be, fit for human consumption. I tear them into pieces and use them to fish for rainbow trout.

For pretty much every food I don't care for, I can at least understand why other people might enjoy it.

But Peeps are one part of that triumvirate of sugary snacks that I just can't believe anyone likes.

The other two are those orange circus peanuts and candy corn.

I guess its because we are accustomed to eating REAL food. You know, the stuff thats not usually painted on, or made up of 150% sugar, that is usually killed, skinned, and fried, the stuff that's NOT left out on the counters for the whole year or sold to customers stale. You know, the stuff that has taste, whose calories can be burned through regular excercise, whose ingredients are normally all natural and not made in a factory along side crayons. The stuff that's sold by the gram, not wrapped in plastic which is then placed in a carton, which is then engulfed with another film of plastic. The stuff which, although gives you a small case of cholersterol, does not usually cause cancer. You know, this stuff:

These (and peeps) are all consumed by the same people. I can't stand any of them but my brother loves all three.

Did you ever try that taste paper experiment in high school biology? My theory is that the people who can taste the paper abhor peeps, candy corn, and circus peanuts. Those who can't, dig 'em.

An interesting theory. Clearly anyone who enjoys any of those three (let alone all of them) obviously has malfunctioning taste buds.

I like fresh peeps, and up until now I've never heard of anyone enjoying stale ones.

I think those orange circus peanuts are terrible! My first one was the last.
