Most misspelled "werd" on Talkbass?

Sign in to disble this ad
I think it's "lose" ( don't lose your cool) as opposed to "loose"(the jack on my P bass is working itself loose)

Disclaimer:This thread is NOT intended to poke fun at our non english first speaking brethren.Nor is it to make fun of anyone in particular.

Hell,I misspelled "misspelled" at first when I made the title.............

Seems like the internet/text classics are most prevalent: wut, wat, u, teh, etc. But the ones that make me wince most often are: "trust rod", "weary" instead of wary, and "threat" instead of thread.

In the Basses forum, "pickgaurd" for pickguard is surprisingly frequent.

As long as you didn't once said "thrust rod" like I did once.

As a non-native-english speaking person I always have problems with the letter h is some words. Wether an h should or shouldn't be there.

Especially the past tense of "thinking" and "teaching". I can never get those two sorted out.

Squier (whence referring to Fender branded instruments)

Probably (substitute "prolly"...an offense I repeat regularly.)

I absolutely can't stand when people write "prolly." It makes me want to stomp on bunnies/punch a baby (your choice!)
