I think its a load of crap now that BYU isn't leaving, and Fresno and Nevada are joining up.

Well the Mountain West could potentially get its own auto-bid, and if so, it really wouldn't make sense to share it with 13 more teams, at least from an AD standpoint. 1 in 12 odds at a big bowl beats 1 in 25.

If they could offset the newfound travel expenses with a lucrative TV offer, then this is a possibility. If they can't, it will never happen.

Conference USA has already pretty much successfully dealt with the extensive travel expenses. If they cut the new conference down to two 10 team divisions it would be, IMHO, not only impressive and hard to ignore but also manageable with a broad TV market that would be essenially nationwide. Another advantage is a conference that large would be less vulnerable to instability if robbed. I think it is a very interesting proposition.
