I actually got a nice warning from the mods for posting that video in a thread and asking how anyone could consider it good music. I pretty sure I only got a warning because the mod agreed

Haha I can see that like I said, only in certain mental states is it appealing.

This thing wow. I second whoever said how long til we see this guy on a sex offender list. I definitely got that vibe when I saw the friday vid and even more with this one.

When is someone going to do a columbus day song?

Cool song, but you can only play it once per year. You can rock Rebecca's song every week. Point RB.

I wonder if that's Neil Peart on the drums.

Who comes up with these ideas that people really want to hear more teenie bop pop songs? Does The Disney Channel really have that much influence on mainstream pop music?

Money talks, good music walks. Then again, "good" is subjective.

Blame Katie Perry for putting Rebecca Black in the "Last Friday Night" video. These studios can't be spending that much money on these kids' songs so to have one of them turn into an appearance on a big budget music video is huge for them.

From what I read, the parents pay for the music video and a pre-written song, hence the similar versing and the same "rapper/producer" from Black's Friday.

Wow, this was truly the worst song ever written. The turkey leg microphone had me rolling.

However, does everyone think that he actually tried to produce a good song? My instinct says that the producer knows that it's bad and probably did it on purpose knowing that it's going to get a ton of views anyway. How else do you explain the turkey suit and the turkey leg microphone? He had to know it would be ridiculed and and not taken seriously.

Since every 1,000,000 views on YouTube is worth 5000 dollars in ad revenue, this guy is already laughing all the way to the bank and will have made 500k when it probably reaches a 100 million views from people simply watching it for the shock value.

I saw an interview with the guy from the ark music factory or whatever it's called. Just went looking for it, and here it is, for your viewing pleasure:

Hilarity ensues. Also has a short interview with the "Girl awkwardly dancing", she seems pretty cool about the whole thing.

first time i heard it... Pop music... it's been proven that this formula works for a lot of people
we can't stop it ...
it's here to stay...

my kids will probably like it... but only if it comes on the radio... i probably won't have that problem though... everytime we get in the van "Can we listen to Dr. Horrible Sing Along Blog?"

I do think it's more than a little sad they've tried to replicate the same effect again, and I'll bet people will eat it up and spread it all around the world saying "Hey look guys, how stupid is this song!"
The production was funded by the little girls parents, who no doubt were seeking the same attention for their little angel that Rebecca Black received. That, or the money.

They really need to bring TCAP back, but thats not likely to happen, since a guy who appeared on the show snuffed it.

Like I said previously... the parents. Well, a collaboration between the parents and the producer, who is more than willing to take the parents money.

No, dont blame KP, blame Rebecca Blacks parents.

This is exactly right. Anyone can be a 'pop star' if you put enough money behind them.

You got it! Though Id hesitate to call it "shock value".
