Movies you are ashamed to like...

What's a great movie you like, but wouldn't tell your friends? Admit it here, with the anonymity of the interwebs.

Mine: Notting Hill.

Castaway (the one with tom hanks)

My parents sent it to me by post in my first year at Uni. Seemed emotionally appropriate. Although even they've since denied it! Weird.

It's always meant a lot to me since.

I know too many people here, so I'm not telling anyone that I like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Pete's Dragon.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World...

actullay I'm not ashamed to like it....its one of my top ten movies of all time...however my wife and close friends have burned copies of that movie in protest...they literally hate it..

ditto for Napolean Dynamite and Nacho Libre (however I utterly disliked Gentleman Broncos)

That's nothing to be ashamed of. Damn good movie.

As for my guilty pleasures: What Women Want and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Two of the chickiest chick-flicks evar.

^ Eh I used to be a Pro Wrestler, so some of the things in it was funny, and it was very very loosley based on a true story (there is a real life Mexican Priest who moonlighted as a masked wrestler named Fray Tormenta to support an orphanage, he's still alive and a priest. The WWE's "Sin Cara" origonal gimmick in Mexico, named "Mistico" was as his protege)

Overall, it was very similar to Napoleon Dynamite in that the dialouge and some of the action was completely out of place and got some "Lol,whut?" style reactions. Don't know if I would call it "good" however...but if you liked Napoleon Dynamite, you might like it...

Gentlemen Broncos however, was terrible. It was like they made the dialouge and characters weird just for the sake of being weird...the only good things about that movie was it was the first time I heard the very cool song "In the year 2525" and they also used Ray Lynch's "Celestial Soda Pop" in the movie as well..

Also, though not really ashamed of it, but first time I saw I Am Sam, I got a little choked up, I love that movie!
