The Music Industry

Ive been hearing a lot lately about the 'death' of the music industry due to the internet and how it has made music so easily and readily available to the people all from the comfort of their homes. Thus causing physical CD sales to drop and record companies to go broke and bands not to be able to get record deals like they could back in the day...

Anyway I was hoping you guys could provide me with more information about this kind of stuff as I have not heard that much about it and I'm really interested to see more of whats been happening to the music industry and whats in store for the future of music. We're all musicians so I believe that it effects all of us in one way or another. Thanks in advance.

Also if you know of any good articles feel free to post em here.

MP3 "sharing," rising costs for waning pay... the end for the professional musician?
