Music Industry Fears 8-track tape piracy

I found this on the dust cover of a Thin Lizzy Jailbreak Lp from 1976. I've seen one about the collapse of the music industry if you use a cassette to copy music also.

Why is it every time they try to force a new format on us it coincides with war against those who try to avoid it? How many times in my life will I have to pay for the right to listen to the same music. First 8-tracks, then cassettes then digital. I'm sure they are cooking up another one. But you know what? Me an my vinyl are doing just fine thanks.

that's great

the music industry mostly fears people figuring out they're the middleman between the arists and the fans... format fear is just a side effect of that IMO!
