Are musicians naturally...

Just a fun topic, I thought, based on this article: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...070303202.html

Stretching it just a little, it seems to me that perhaps, at least as bassists, since we use both hands to create and reproduce our craft, maybe we use BOTH sides of our brains more than the average person. So, my theory is that, as musicians, or at least bassists, we reap many of the same brain functions suggested in this article, based on the statement, "possibly because using their left hands during childhood stimulated the development of the right half."

Just a thought to chew on...what are your thoughts?

Interesting. Being a lefty didn't help me avoid cutting down the side of my thumb and the tip of my index finger yesturday. Not serious, but annoying none the less

My brother is one of those lefties that was taught/taught himself to do things right handed. As a result, he is very ambidextrous: he can write with both hands, but favors the left, bats right but throws left and so on. He is also very artistic, as well as a master certified, UTI trained mechanic that is starting a business in hydrogen upgrades in cars.
