My arm is sore and I need to use it now...

I just wrote 5 handwritten pages for an assignment I have to do and my right arm is extremely tired and I'm not nearly done with what I have to do. And I have to finish this assignment tonight. Does anyone know what I can do to make my arm workable again, rapidly?

Take a break...massage your hand, wrist, and forearm. Why handwritten? Try to relax your grip on your pen...

Yeah, I'd rather just go to sleep. But I've class tomorrow and I need this handwritten assignment done...I should've spaced it out over several sessions but it didn't occur to me I'd have to deal with soreness and stuff... I have to handwrite it because I don't have a computer...

Nah...I dunno why, but the instructor wants it handwritten.

I don't think I've had a handwritten assignment in at least 5 years, and I'm an English minor :hiding:

It's odd to me too. She probably assigned it for ****s and gigs, keeping in mind that it's such a long assignment... :D

I would get some Ben Gay it's funny people are so used to typing that actual writing is going the way of the dinosaur.

Handwritten work in this day and age? Interesting...

I did my graduate work in English literature; graduated High School in 1994. I wasn't even allowed to handwrite a final draft for anything since early high school. Even back then teachers wanted typed work: your teacher is trying to teach ya'll a lesson of some sort or wants to punish both the students and herself. For her sake, I hope it's not a big class. lol

Ice...

keep ice on the sore parts for 20 minutes at a time.

It's strange, i was never allowed to hand in a typed assignment! i am only 28, so it's not like I am talking about back in the 60s, and still i always had to hand write everything.
Maybe it is a Europe vs USA thing...

"...wrote 5 handwritten pages for an assignment"- is that what the kids are calling it now?

I came in here to post this. The only hand written stuff that I have ever handed in was anything with math on it, or exams. Even then, we could type exams as well if you had a laptop.

No one wants to see my "handwritten assignment"...it'll be awfully messy "penmanship".

MatticusMania 01-09-2013 01:39 PM

The simple solution is to type it all up on a word document, and then change the font to User Defined Handwriting.

What, you havent turned your handwriting into a font? Kids these days... no imagination... :scowl:

I was typing reports and papers on a Royal manual typewriter as far back as 4th grade and I'll be 56 in April.

I wonder what kind of grade this would get if he did that and used WingDings.

It would be pretty awesome to turn in a paper using one of those weird fonts. "A C-? Did you even read my paper?"
