I checked my bank account online today to find $300 was withdrawn from two ATM's.
I used my atm card at an exxon/mobil station at 542pm on Sunday in Brea, CA. About 12 minutes later $100 was taken out at a non-Wells Fargo atm in Sherman Oaks about 50mi away, then again $200 removed in Van Nuys 10 mi north of there.
Wells Fargo was about to reject my fraud claim
(because they had my atm card number and my pin number)
& I'd have to eat the $300 but when I questioned/realized what time the Sherman Oaks & Van Nuys withdrawals happened, it was obvious that I couldn't be in Brea then travel 50+ miles from Orange County to the San Fernando Valley in 10 minutes. With a police escort without traffic there's still no way. Even when there isn't traffic in L.A. there's traffic in L.A. They're going to credit my account tonight. Happy ending.
So, math question: How fast do I have to travel to get from Brea to Sherman Oaks--50 miles--in 12 minutes? |
