My Bloody Valentine

I'm a huge fan of old 80's slasher flicks, but this movie is just awful. I can't imagine how bad I would have felt had I actually paid to watch this piece of crap (got it from the library).

It seems like a common cause for the failing of modern movies and tv shows is a severe lack of humor. The 80's schlocky horror was fun to watch because it always had a healthy sense of humor. Somebody should remind the a-holes putting out this garbage of that.

Oh well, just more support for my "Remakes should be banned" belief.

I thought you were talking about the original M.B.V. for a minute- I love that movie. It's so cheesy and there's not a single character in it that's really likable The remake was terrible- I agree. There's bad remakes of horror flicks all the time, but that one was physically hard to sit through. Big fan of early 80s horror myself....I'm just waiting for someone to try to remake "Happy Birthday to Me" someday

my favorite recent remake of late is Last House On The Left...though a bit graphic in a certain scene and the ending being a bit off the wall I liked it.

I actually didn't know this one was a remake going into it. Whenever I watch a really bad movie, I always Google "My Bloody Valentine sucks", "Transformers sucks", etc... to see how many people agree with me. As soon as I saw the word "remake", the maximum suckage started making more sense.

I'm 100% done with them now. Every dollar spent at the box office on remade movies is a vote against originality. There's no sound logic for remaking a movie, either; if it was good to begin with, leave it alone. If it sucked the first time around, who the heck wants to see it again?

There's way too many awesome ideas that will never see the light of day to keep rehashing garbage.

Don't discount all remakes- some of them are really good. The new Star Trek for example.

Oh, good call. That was one of my favorite movies I've seen in forever... how did I forget about that?

Hmmm, seems like all the movies (and tv shows) I enjoy anymore all have a pretty healthy sense of humor.
