My true friend of 5 years ,My Dog ,His name was Gunk .He was a Fila Braselario , He was our freind and protector. 200 lbs of pure protection .He died yesterday , of a kind of strange thing that happens to big dogs ,his stomac flipped and in just a matter of hours we had to put him down. I would add his picture but i couldnt figure it out. He will trully be missed. For anyone not familar with these truley unbelievable animals -look up FILA dogs . We called him Gunk becaus he was the slobberest thing you ever saw. He was so cool .we live in the forrest and never had a worry about someone coming in our house . i guess we'll have to get a key made for the door now. RIP my friend .

Bloat is an all-too-common life-threatening condition that can suddenly happen without warning, especially in larger breeds like mastiff-types. It is a common fatal condition in Filas. My friend's boxer had the same thing happen just days after giving birth to a litter of baby boxers. She had to hand-feed the puppies until they were big enough to eat on their own. Sometimes the condition can be fixed if you catch it immediately and emergency surgery can be performed in time, but usually it's too quick of a condition, the stomach gets twisted and very dangerous effects occur.

You have my condolences, I understand what it's like to lose an exceptional animal friend.
