So yeah my cell phone died. It droped from the balcony of my apartment, and sufferd a 40 foot drop to a cold hard concrete kiss.
I have a BlackBerry that has me coverd for all my business stuff, but this phone was my personal one, so I need a phone that does mostly, well personal stuff. So some thing that takes good pictures, easy to use, durrable, and no itty bitty buttons. Oh and I have AT&T. Any suggestions.

I can't find a model number anywhere on it, or in the menu, but if you go to the AT&T store and ask for their most rugged Samsung, you'll probably get the right one. |

Durable beasts in my experience.

Durable beasts in my experience. | Usually not worth it to change providers because of a broken phone, especially still under contract.
And as far as replacing broken phones... I used to have Verizon, and they didn't always replace them no problem.

The last time I went into the store was the sixth time in 7 months and they still refused to give me different model phone.
The only reason I'm still with them is because my Verizon corporate sales rep came through. I said either he agrees to send me a different model phone or I'm hanging up, leaving work, and going to an AT&T store to start a new service. He gave me three other models to pick from, had my choice FedEx'd out right away, and I got it the next day.
I'm wary of touch screens now (maybe irrationally) and I also don't recommend Verizon. Someone without the help of a corporate sales rep is helpless with that company.

You have to use the telephone keypad mode and it's real slow because the cursor blinks a couple of times before it allows you to move on to the next character.
The touchscreen "keys" small. It's difficult to do "thumb" entry. I grew the fingernail on my thumbs a bit longer so I can use them as a "stylus".
The internet screens that work by touch are difficult to activate because the icons are so small.
It seems LG put most of its effort into features that require a subscription. If you just need a phone, get one that just mainly a phone.
The screen is just a bit too small for a decent sized internet screen.
You can't secure lock the phone while it's on.
Sound quality of the internal speaker is mediocre.
You can't assign any tone you want to received text messages.
It's like different groups of programmers that didn't speak to each other wrote the different parts of the software.
They're cheap for a reason.

Compared to none touch screen phones, I find the buttons to be a very comfortable size. Sure, its not an iPhone, but it also didn't cost me $300.
All the other things you listed don't really effect me. I usually grow my nails out a little anyway, I keep it on vibrate to tell me when I get a text message, and I think it works well as an internet browser.
But different strokes for different folks.
