My dad cold clocked a robber.

My dad was shopping at a local Wal-Mart a few days ago and used the restroom in the back of the store. A late teen early 20’s Latino man approached my dad and demanded his money. My dad has a bad ankle from Vietnam so the guy probably thought he was an easy target due to his limp. Put a man with PTSD in a corner and make demands it’s not a good situation, I think dad broke his jaw and knocked him against the wall and someone else came in and the guy fled. Not that I agree with his actions due to the robber maybe having a weapon and the police were involved in this as well, but good for dad for being 60!

I would just use the restrooms at the front of your local store, just a word of advice to keep you and your family safe.

i'm glad he's ok and maybe the would-be robber will think twice before stealing a straw to eat his liquid diet for the next several weeks

Tell your dad to come to eastern Washington. I'll give him a high five and a pizza.

I'm in Anaheim. Tell your dad to stop by and we'll go to the Long Beach Vets Hospital if he needs anything from them.. then I'll buy him a nice lunch while he tells me about the punk he clocked... Great story!!!

My dad is a simple man. 3 kids and 2 parents growing up in rural WV with no running water and an outhouse.

I was scared and proud at the same time when my mom told me the story, I haven't seen him in person yet to give him a hug.

That's awesome.

I wish people were more like him. Criminals need to get the message that not everyone will submit, some will fight back.

I probably would have held him down so he couldn't flee...
