I'll bet Shenandoah just picks a few favorite spots in the lawn to 'water'. Dogs are creatures of habit and get set in their ways. 3 or 4 dead spots in the lawn - meh. She's worth it like you say.

My daughter does a lot of damage around the house, but I'm pretty this was the work of "She-nay-nay," as my wife calls her.

It's always amazing to me that dogs can be trained so well. I've been around bulldogs most of my life and sometimes it's an achievement just to get one of those lazy bastards to get up and go outside! |

I knew the basics of your situation from previous posts, but the details and the pictures really brought it home. You and your wife are obviously great parents doing a tough job, I'm glad you have this wonderful dog to help shoulder some of the load now. (I'm truly amazed at how well-trained she is!) Best wishes to the whole family, especially your beautiful daughter. Quote:

Seriously, congrats on finding the dog.

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Reptilia
Order: Crocodilia
Family: Alligatoridae
Genus: GATOR!

We had this issue with our last dog. I would hose down the area where my dog peed after he was done to help alleviate it. I think there are some pills to give your dog, but we didn't want to do that.

I thought I had a tough time being a daddy to a premie and two beautiful twins, who are 8 and the twins who are two. It shows great strength of your spirit to take care of your little girl like that... god bless you man. You make all of us proud daddies even more proud when we hear great stories like this. To any and all who are reading this, this is the definition of what makes a great man great , and also a wonderful daddy... Take note! we should all strive to be this type of parent, and this type of man in our family.
You're the man.. keep on keeping on! We're all very proud of you! |

I've been fortunate enough to meet both Bart's daughter and She-nay-nay. They both are sweethearts and the photos show what absolute dolls they are. Priceless!

But I do love dogs (I have 2) and I also have two Autistic nephews. Oddly enough, I've noticed both of them adore my dogs, and the dogs seem to favour the Autistic nephews more than the others, but I never really read into that too much. Now that I've read this, I'm going to look for a similar program here in Australia. It's a sensational program and I'm so glad to hear how well it's working.

As for the lawn spots - there are some things you can do, but I don't bother much with my lawn. From what I understand the problem is much worse with female dogs than male dogs for a variety of reasons, and my male dogs don't wreck my lawn that badly.
