They're commonly called a Stawberry birth make and are usually no big deal, but what she has PHACE syndrome can be life threatening, Thankfully, the Chemo & steroids and meds did what they are suppose to and she is mostly cool now. My wife has put together a online petition to show the need for research, if you can please read it, email it, and if you agree and are over 18 sign it.

If this is against the posting rules. I missed it when I read and I'm sorry please delete the post

My daughter was born with a hemangioma on the back of her head, but thankfully no other issues were involved.

I wish you and your family all the best - mojo from So Cal.

My Daughter had a seriously big Strawberry on top of her head that thankfully had no issue. I pray for good health and good future for your child.

I have a niece that has been diagnosed with NF1. I won't bum you out with the details. Google it. Can be potentially scary stuff that will cause her a painful death. They suspected that she had it as a baby, but doctors are unable to officially diagnose until 7 years old when they have a complete history. Well sadly, it's official. I hate hearing about little one's suffering. Good luck my friend.

I was under the impression that NF1 wasn't fatal unless it was a very severe case?
