I don't think this comes as a surpised to anyone. Even so, the Blimp Giveaway contest I started in that forum will proceed as advertised. The literary works of genius, however, will likely cease to be updated and the First Annual Gathering of Mikes GTG (nametags optional) I had in the works is not gonna happen, either.

Per the original rules of the contest, all essays should be sumbitted via PM.

I appreciate it, but early on I had established a clear policy that any size font would be tolerated (even encouraged), and we all know that kind of thinking will bring Chris Fitzgerald down on a thread like tanks in Tiananmen Square. This kind of thought quaratine was virtually guaranteed from the start.

I for one, support the closing of Mike's forum.

For two days there was a toilet paper dispenser with an overblown ego out there that wasn't doing their job, and the folks using that stall had to find alternate means.

Now that the forum is closed, mike_tpd can go back to providing stuff for folks to wipe with.

The world is a better place indeed.

Grieving is a process both physical and mental. Just be patient with yourself. Someone will restock you, and sure enough you'll be helping people with their crap again in no time. So chin up little guy, and remember to keep your flap rolling away from the wall.
