My Friend, my comrade - John Zigre, RIP

I know off topic is a place for general fun and nonsense, but I don't know where else to post this.

John Zigre, my friend, longtime guitarist in many bands, usher in my wedding 18 years ago, devoted father and grandfather, died this afternoon at age 52 from ALS (Lou Gherig's disease).

I just found out after a soundcheck for a show my band is doing at the Stone Pony tonight. I'm devastated.

My children have just seen me break down in tears. I know that Zig means nothing to anyone here, but please send your prayers. Zig was a good man, a great friend, and the finest guitarist I have ever worked with.

I have no idea how I am going to get through tonight's gig.

Play this show with every fiber of your being dedicated to his memory, and do not let his death cast shadow upon the light that was his life.
My prayers are with his friends and family.
