So I would like to pick up a slouch hat. Where can I find a nice one that is affordable?

Go to Ebay and search for Akubra hats. Nothing more Australian than them - and they're good hats.

Yup, search Akubra, pin one side up or see if they make something designed for that purpose, they probably do.

They have a nice selection of Aussie style hats from Outback Trading Company. I got an oilskin hat at Kittery Trading Post, cost me 40 bucks, great hat, I wear it a lot. There is a pic of me in the NE GTG thread from Sat wearing it.

Kittery Trading Post

That is the hat page.

Akubras are the real deal. Make sure to check your hat size before you buy.
