My friends and I want to start filming a web series

Our idea is a realistic, disaster zombie film that takes place in newport, rhode island. we want to film the entire thing with camcorders, just think cloverfield with zombies! imagine a quarentined island in the begining stages of an infection. its been done before but not like this. basically right now we are still in the beginning stages of character development, i think once we can get a good sketch of acters, we should be well on our way to youtube! lemme know your thoughts, critisisms, and if your local and interested we could definitly use the help.

The zombie premise? Ehhh I dunno about that, it kinda sounds corny. I guess though that it would depend on your approach. A Cloverfield, or Blair Witch Project type deal is going to go over like a fart in church. You have to think "different"
Maybe something a bit light-hearted would work better, I mean stick to your premise but try not to take it too seriously. Let your audience wonder what the heck you guys are up to rather than just plopping a typical storyline in front of them.
