I work at a lube shop a mile from my house now... its as slow as a legless oldwoman clawing her way up a vertical wall.

I get $400 a week to watch movies, basically.

I did 7 cars today...

I watched meet the fockers, the blues brothers, some of the blue collar comedy tour, and lord of war.

yesterday was beowulf, rambo, star wars, and some of romeo and juliet.

ha ha. I love it.

And yes, I still drive to work.

I'm fat.

This would kill me. I hate slow days at work. As soon as I arrive to work I want to go home, so the busier it is the faster time flies, the sooner it seems that I get to leave.

Sorry, I hate my job.

My job sucks. I'm in the army, make no money and it doesn't matter if there is work. At the end of the day, i go nowhere.

Life sucks. Someone just killed himself on the trainrails. :/

Actually my days are always really busy. I make food for lunch crowds, catering and delivery. It's basically a deli that delivers. It's not the work I hate, but the idiot I work for that I hate. And sometimes the stupid things people want, but that is just the nature of the biz.

On the off day that it isn't busy we are all scramblin to try to find something to do.

Funny thing is we had a few drivers that used to work at a Jiffy Lube and they said the same thing about basically just standing around twiddlin their thumbs. I've seen guys standing with signs trying to get people to come in at those grease monkey places.

Luckyyyyyy...

Not that I'm complaining. My job pays me to take s*** apart all day, and that suits me just fine. Congrats on the cushy gig, sir.

I'm a student, work in the library, maybe about 650 a month, and do NOTHING all day.

Seriously, I work 20 hours a week, and sit on talkbass, facebook, and youtube all day.

Not

Bad.

While I can understand your current contentment with your job, I'd be nervous that the owners of where you work may end up having to close up shop if it isn't turning a profit.
