I know it could, but it just seems that everytime something good happens then something bad happens almost instantly..
I heard Megadeth was playing at Tucson, so i looked for tickets and found out they were selling for $38.50. So I instantly asked my parents if i could go and after they said yes I invited some friends right away.
Until this point, i had been BUSTING my BASS at school because that's what i was going go pay my parents with for the tickets.
Now today i finally decide to buy the tickets online, i log into The Rialto's website to find out more show dates have been added and Megadeth's date was nowhere to be found. I click the little calendar on the 30th (the date which they are playing) to find out Megadeth's 20th anniversary tour with speciall guests Testament and Exodus IS FREAKING SOLD OUT!!!!!!!!
OH. MY. GOD!.
Seriously, i am so mad at myself, I could've bought the tickets days ago but i was waiting for my friends confirmation, and even though they told me they were all set, i didint buy the tickets right way, WHY? I DONT FREAKING KNOW!
I really dont know what to do now, i want to scream, throw stuff around, punch someone in the face or go up and shoot some guy in the face
Anyway, I've been looking for resale tickets and i can only find sets of 2 tickets for $95. I think my dad really knew bad i wanted to go because he told me to buy one anyway, but the thing is, i dont want to go alone man, its not the same.
So anyway thats the end of my rant.. sorry for wasting your time but i just need to let this all out..

The reason shows sell out so fast is mostly because people buy them in bulk, online, to resell for a crapload more. They get stuck when they dont sell them all, hang out at the show, and will sometimes even take face value (even less in some instances) to get rid of them.

Only problem is that they disallowed those tickets, and the people who paid for actual legal tickets weren't let in. Yikes.
P.S. Dude, it's Megadeth. I'm pretty sure people like them a bit, so you waiting till the last minute to buy tickets is stupid, not bad luck. Come on.

It's got nothing to do with luck. The tickets weren't ordered and sitting in your mailbox when some hooligan burned your mailbox down. That would have been bad luck. You simply fell asleep at the wheel.
FYI - I have seen Megadeth 3 times in the last 3 years and they are a killer live band. Nothing fancy for a show but if you want to see band with killer musicians - they are it. Wicked. Wicked. And I would go see them again with Ellefson back in the band. A whole crowd singing Peace Sells but Who's Buying is enough to send chills up your back.

when I saw bodom in 08, I payed $80 for the tix, aroudn $250 in plane tickets and then spent well over $100 while I was down in brisbane. The whole trip ended up costing at least $500 and I dont regret any of it. |

I saw my hero (Eric Clapton) in concert from the cheap seats, and more recently Metallica also from the cheap seats. However, I've decided that life is too short, for yourself or the musicians, to fret too much over prices. I don't plan on hopping a plane flight though .
