Last night was my first night out in awhile and my bartender was worried that he hadn't seen me all week. Then people started feeding me shots and beers and it all went downhill rather quickly. Luckily, I'm almost over my pneumonia and just have a dry rasping cough.
In the true spirit of American ingenuity and half assery I made a lamp. Or uh... a light fixture. I found them both in the trash ages ago and they look like they're from a 70s bar or diner. I'm now using it to light up my work bench until I get around to buying some florescents. Its classier than the clamp work lights I've been using.
Hooked this up to an old extension cord that my dog chewed the ends off of. I replaced one end with a metal plug and I just neatened up the other end.I'll probably wrap this up in electrical tape for the illusion of safety and good engineering. I also put an old on/off switch on it too that I found on my work bench.
This is the next one when I find more extension cords that I can cut up

Actually, I thought the sweater was fine. And Matticus didn't say anything rude either.

I carried a 2 liter glass bottle of Makers Mark up and down the Vegas strip, getting accosted by random partiers inquiring if they may quench their thirst with my awesome drink. Being quite jolly, I allowed them to partake and ease their parched throats from the neck of my glorious bottle. I also shouted gratuitous musings at the bodacious bosoms of passersby.

Since the missus and I got married in Vegas, I had also had my turn at parading up the Vegas strip completely polluted, jolly and vociferous. Must be a traditional Vegas thing or something
