I've had problems with ear wax buildup lately, and today I was feeling it bad. So I tried the very warm water + hydrogen peroxide trick and it only made it worse.
I have an appointment on Wednesday and noon.
This is about the worst feeling ever.

This is about the worst feeling ever. | Repeat the treatment 6-7-8-9 whatever times needed, in the end it will go away. I had to take a straw "connect" it to the tap and push water into the ear after about 6-7 treatments with dewax (I guess it's the hydrogen peroxide stuff) and there it went finally, lots of disgusting brown crap comin out.. Not too hot water though coz when it was too hot my ears started to itch!!
Good luck, and don't give up, but if it hurts bad, go see a doctor!

They do sell small kits at Walgreen's (or your local pharmacy) that can help unclog your ear. I've had a clogged ear twice, and the second time I got one of those and it did the trick. (It really helps if you have someone helping you.)
It's pretty cool when your ear is unplugged for two reasons, the first being the overwhelming sense of relief and that everything is "right" again. The second is that a day or two of muffled hearing makes your newly unclogged ear really sensitive to high frequencies. It's interesting!
Good luck! |

Or like Bugs Bunny does, take a towel, stick it in from the right ear and take the other end from the left.Do a nice cleaning.
I used to get that too,its an easy fix, you'll be fine.

It's interesting! | That's happened to me though and there is a huge sense of relief - but that last part was more "terrifying" than interesting!!
So I can remember walking out the doctor's surgery in the middle of town and thinking I was going to be run over by cars all the time, as they sounded so close!!

My ear was infected and he had to use a suction machine to clear all the crap out of my ear. Nasty looking too! It was weird though. Being deaf in one ear is not fun. I just can't imagine not being able to hear at all! Take care of your ears! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
