don't judge me. My wife:
Has always heted my love for music. Hates that she is losing the battle between har and the band for my attention. When she has come to my shows, she brings an entourage to drink with. Shows up just before I go on and leaves right after I leave and makes a big deal about me staying to watch the other acts performing. When she is there she stays isolated with her friends with no interaction bewtween them and the band. When I'm home I can not record when she is home. She said to me one day, "Some people are made to sing and some aren't". I can only record demos of new songs when she is gone. She hates my eqipment. I have not spent a lot of money on anything. I play a Squier Jazz I got used for $140 and SWR Silverado 2x12 I got also used for $250. When I came home with the amp she tried to destroy it. Ultimately I have this constant feeling that the only way she is going to be happy is if I quit the band and give up on music. vs. My girlfriend:
She loves the music. She has told me that she understands that the band would take priority over her in some occasions. When she comes to my shows she brings one friend... or comes alone. She sits with the band and interacts with all of us even when I am away from the table. While we are finishing our set she has water ready for us at the table. After our set is finished she watches and enjoys the rest of the bands to play, or gets there early enough to see the ones before us (depending on where we go on that night). I have recorded with her a few times and she sits, listens, and offers input when I ask for it...most the time she just smiles and tells me it sounds great though. She also hates my equipment... she hates that I comprimised and went with what I could afford (without pissing off my wife more than I did) instead of getting what I wanted. She recently told me to pick out a bass and amp that I would like to have. She seems to be as in love with music and passionate about it as I am.
Not asking for advice... I can handle the outcome of this situation just fine... just felt liek sharing. |

| | | | Wife complains enough for 10 women, I should have 9 gfs.
No, they're never at the same shows at the same time |

| | | | hmm.. I was going to say the difference between a wife and gf is 45 minutes... but you seem to have gone a different route than I have thought.
Just a bit of info to look out for. Women are vicious. Make sure the gf is true as to the way she appears. She knows you have a wife and could be saying certain things, and acting certain ways just to win you over. I know - she is not like that... but never trust anything that can bleed for a week and still survive.

-Mike | Furthermore, OP, is your girlfriend aware that you have a wife? If not, that could be a disaster. Of course, I am assuming that your wife does not know about your girlfriend.

| | | | Here is a fun idea... write a song about a b*t*h wife. Finish off with mentioning divorce... have the gf deliver the divorce papers to her table with a shot of vodka xD
