Shut the **** up and do what you want.
I could understand of someone said, "its not a good idea for me to buy gear right now because I have other things I need to put funds towards."
but when you are kept in check by your wife/husband you need a good punch in the gut.

One might argue that a guy says that his wife will kill him even when he does agree...also deserves a gut punch. You are not only making yourself look like a hollow plastic sword, but your also lying to yourself.

interesting how some folks think that if they address their tirades to "the community at large" that somehow absolves them from any responsibility toward the usage agreement, namely respecting other members.
