Never ever had a problem until yesterday when a new game froze. Restarted it and all was good until today when the 3 rings of death popped up. |

My friend did it and said it works fine. |

I will sell it if anyone wants to take it off my hands and fix it themselves. I guess I could post in the Misc classifieds. |

Why wouldn`t you? My 360 was about 2 and half years old when it failed and Microsoft fixed it and had it back to me within two weeks. They sent me a box, covered shipping both ways, and it`s been working flawlessly for over two years now. Even the experience with calling their CS center was pleasant. The whole conversation only took 20 minutes.
I`m sorry, but not calling them is just silly - unless you seriously don`t want your 360 anymore and want to sell off all your games for $8 a pop. |

Thanks everyone for chiming in. |

Got the RROD, and was without an Xbox for 5-1/2 weeks. When I got the refurbished one, the IR receiver for the remote didn't work, and I didn't bother to send it back. Just left me with a bad feeling about MS customer service.

| | *******er Emeritus(does anyone remember that? No?) | | Join Date: Apr 2000 Location: Houston, Texas | | I got a new 360 for Christmas. This is my 2nd one. My original was one of the first-run of 360s, which got the RROD...twice.
The first time they covered it all for free, the second time they wouldn't. As much as that sucks, I pretty much love video games and wanted another. I went without an Xbox for over a year, and it sucked.
Since my hard drive was still good, I got the cheaper "Arcade" model that comes without the HD, and just put my old HD on there. I didn't want to risk the same xbox getting another RROD...plus, they were gonna charge me like $100 for it.
