anyone else getting a ridiculous amount of myspace messages these past couple of days? everytime I check my email it's loaded with junk like never before. I don't want to cancel my account yet (still holding on tight) but this crap's gotta stop. am i the only one experiencing this, or is myspace really about to finally go down completely?

I came here to post the same reply...

While we have a band Myspace, or whatever they're calling it these days, I don't think any of our fanbase pays any attention. Thus we haven't touched it in about 2 years.

I was under the impression it already had...

I havent used my myspace account in almost 2 years, since it was phished and got put under lock & key. I could have done some email thing to sort it out, but at that point myspace was way past its way out anyway. That was the end of my social networking foray.

Yeah, me too. My AOL account is also getting spammed. I can't hit the delete button on my Commodore 64 fast enough!

My band primarily uses Facebook for communicating with fans these days, but we still have the myspace account. It gets flooded with spam regularly, and I just deleted as if it's the norm.

Nothing is surprising about it.

I typed some stuff to strangers in florida through this program called prodigy, on what I believe was a 386 computer, thinking I had discovered an incredibly ingenious new way to possibly get some people to gigs we were playing there. took about 20 minutes for prodigy to load, and like an hour just to get a message out. It was a bizzarre new world.

I started on AOL when there was local access number. We had to dial long distance so I could only use it for an hour a week. I stuck to BBS systems

on the topic of outdated internet... when I first was using the internet I had to connect via "Dial Pad" and had a list of phone numbers for various BBSs and text based games written down on sticky notes. I was in middle school at the time and have no idea about any of the technical bits, but I assume I was an early adopter without really even knowing what that meant.

feel a little like I'm gettin slapped aroud here , but I'm serious too. I don't use my myspace account, it's just there. past few days however, I'm getting loads and loads of emails regarding messages...

was wondering if something was going on, because I generally get only a couple a week. i've a feeling i'm alone in this. perhaps someone has hacked my account or something.

i miss myspace.

i don't like facebook.

to everyone, everywhere.
