Name an occupation ending in the word "man"
 

So I'm taking a Feminism course this semester, and it's incredible how I never noticed this. These are gender neutral jobs, and yet end in "man."

So Mailman for instance...

Machoman

I've just always substituted the suffix -woman when it's a female in that occupation. A little awkward with some words, but fits with most. Ultimately I really don't think it matters.

Sound Man
Milk Man
Phone Man
Repair Man
Cable "Guy"

Our drummer is a Mail Man but he says they now call them Mail Carriers

Trash Man
Police Man
Mail Man
Fire Man

All of these can have women or person substituted quite easily

Door man
Corpsman

Ironman
Spiderman
Superman
and Hulk...:o

Don't forget Wonder Wo-Man.
