So finally after years of convincing my parents to let me get a dog, theyre finally letting me. Which leaves me with one problem: naming it. I'm not sure what to name it, but i want it to be music related. Like names of bassists, bands, or brands. I have a few names but im still open for suggestions. Go crazy!

Rusty, Cooley, Muhammad, Ken, Rex, Trex, T-rex, Buster, Arthur, Luther, Pal
Now for some real ones:
Maki, Failson. Thats it. Just go with Maki, its just about right for a Dog's name... |

All of them were named with some sort of Rolling Stones reference. I can't remember all of their documented names, but their common names included Jagger, Ruby, Rambler, Lady, Vamp, and Mac.

Im voting Maki. Jaco might be really cool as well. Geddy, sounds a bit weird. Naming your dog Gibson or Fender is just weird... |

On a similar note, have you ever known some pets with stupid names that just don't fit the animal? try to avoid that... |

I wasn't even looking for a dog when I got mine, but when I saw him the first thing that popped into my head was the Scorpion's song China White. (He's an American Eskimo dog, solid white.) I was with a friend of mine while she was dog shopping but ended up going back later that evening and picking him up.
And his name is China. Dumb name for a male dog, but he sort of came with it.

i cant believe im taking such a serious tone here, but without knowing the breed of the dog, i cannot give much input, or at least no input that i can really stand behind.
+1 brand names seem odd. i might consider schroeder for some reason, though.
my only dog was a mutt (we think poodle/lab/husky), and his name was generic: max. my next dog (when i own land) will have a sweet name, though.
ive probably mentioned this on tb before, but im allergic to cats and yet i would consider getting one because i have the bestest best name ever for a cat: Meow Zedong, or Chairman Meow. for some reason that amuses me to no end. |
