I liked Bob Ley's Nannygate name.
Anyway, what's everyone's thoughts? I thought the IN guy was WAY too emotional and just sounded like he was being Clemens' lawyer more than actually seeking out facts. (whether he was right or not has no bearing, I just thought it was a bad way of doing it) |

I like Waxmans pig nose, that thing cracks me up The guy has vertical nostrils!!! |

I don't care about the integrity of the game or professional sports in general, so I'm enjoying this. As far as I'm concerned, these guys are just a bunch of rich overpayed brutes who throw and hit a ball around on a field. Clemens may or may not be guilty, but he's still going to have a hefty bank account and a mansion at the end of the day. |

I agree that they're both not being truthful. There's no way you can say either one has FULL credibility. |

Pathetic. |

Bonds was a scapegoat. Purgery? You have got to be kidding me. Lesser men have gotten off with more at stake.

I also listened to Colin Cowherd this morning, who continually broke into the hearing during his show. I should be getting a transcription in the next few days, so I'll try to avoid most judgment until I get to read over that. Quote:

... | I agree with this statement 100%! How often is ESPN covering baseball during the Super Bowl week?! This is keeping baseball of people's mind for the entire off-season, and might even draw back some of the viewers who may not have returned since the '94 strike.
Did anyone catch John Rocker's comments yesterday? I thought that was a pretty interesting turn of events. When this whole "performance enhancing" thing came into the spotlight, I wondered about him. He was always pretty big for a pitcher, and certainly had/has a temper!

Macnamee came off(to me) as a weird little creep, with an ax to grind. Even if he did shoot those guys up, so what. Why would you keep needles and gauze for 7+ years. The whole thing reeks. Whether Clemmens has used or not is irrelevant. They're only talking since 2000/2001, the bulk of his career and accomplishments were before then. The truth is that all the roids in the world won't turn a chump into a champ. You had to have the talent 1st.

That's not to say that the dealer shouldn't get prosecuted as well, but they ARE illegal no matter what benefits you get from them.
Either way, I don't want this to get into the whole debate on steroids or records or any of that. I just want to see who people think is telling less truth than the other based on the coverage today. |

I agree and I wonder why he is having to testify(under oath) before one of the most notorious criminal gangs in the world?

| I've read a bunch on the subject and haven't read anyone state it quite that way. But that sounds exactly right.
Reminds me of the old joke about the two hunters being chased by a bear. One says why are we running? We can't outrun a bear. The other says, I know that, but I can outrun you.
That said, it doesn't look good for the Texas Con Man, Roger seems to be having trouble appearing more truthful than McNamee.
