Did a quick search and noticed there weren't any threads dedicated to College Basketball, so I decided to make one.
I'm a Syracuse fan, seeing as I grew up there and have followed them for most of my life. So far this season has been great, except for tonight against Georgetown. Pretty embarrassing to see our no-hustle laziness show against such a bitter rival. Andy Rautins may have re-injured the same knee that kept him out all next season, but we'll see if he can make a somewhat quick recovery. I am glad, however, to see that Johny Flynn got benched for a few minutes, proving that Boeheim still remains unafraid of benching ANYONE who isn't playing smart. Too bad it didn't do enough to get this team a win tonight. Ah well.

the SEC seems to be wide-open this year. i hope we can beat tennessee at least once. we did beat butler, which should count for something, but we're not a top 25 team. (yet?)
the season'll be a success if we make the field of 65, frankly. we don't have any interior presence. we're supposed to be pretty good next season.
skimming some reports, the cal team might have a shot at winning the pac-10. that'd be cool. not going to the games, though. it costs money, and i got to see two years' worth of national championship-caliber play for free, so i ain't payin' for anything less!
edit: whoops, we didn't beat butler (this season!)--it was bradley, another mid-major that made the tournament a few seasons ago. |

I'm now a St Mary's fan

im excited | So, I am going to Vegas with friends in march... but its going to be weekend before march madness begins. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYdSR...eature=related
That's the game i was talking about.
Not sure how they made that out of bounce call, but like they said, few calls in the end that could have go either way so it equaled it out in the end.

Can Coach Bennett and his boys do it? I think they can.

we better turn it around for the sec conference tournament. if we sneak into the ncaa tournament through the back-door, then the season won't be a total loss. if not, well, i hope calathes decides he isn't NBA-ready just yet. |

| | Registered User Endorsing Artist: Spector Basses | | Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Montreal | | If Duke had a bit of a deeper bench, and a little more variety to their game, they could have had the edge on UNC today.
I find Duke is strong at controlling the pace of the game, and making teams play Duke's game. Though they do lack a bit of inside presence. A shooting team can/will only make it so far. As shown in the game today, UNC just brought it to them and wore them down. Duke's legs were so tired that they could barely get shots to the rim.
And they relied far too much on Scheyer, Singlair and Henderson. They were beat by the end of the game. (why was Paulus on the bench for the whole second half?)
What a good game though, both are amazing teams. Cant wait for the madness to begin
Also, Go Deeks, beat Clemson!
