Time to start thinking about college football boys.

Let's kick off the thread with this story: Arrest made in Toomer's Corner incident.

It's fine to be upset when you lose your rivalry game, but this guy is a LOO-ZUHR. So sad.

I heard Colin Cowheard talking about it. He aired the conversation on the local radio show..."Roll Damn Tide"...

I'm betting all the Bammers publicly denounce it, and privately many of them will bankroll the guy's legal defense fund. Don't get me wrong, there are some Alabama fans who personify sportmanship and class. You just have to look REAL hard to find them.

WAR EAGLE!!! Remember the Herbicide Tide!!

Thats a shame, my grandparents met at Toomer's Corner. Some people have no sportsmanship, or common decency for that matter.

That jerk, ( I'd love to use stronger words to describe him.) is the opposite of a real fan.Yes, rivalries can be heated, and the fans can be........well, fanatical to the point of absurdity. True class act fans of any program can be all of that, while still respecting the other school's traditions and fan base. Besides; in most great rivalries the majority of fans do have respect for the other side, and all of the trading of clever insults and bellowing, and other antics come from a sense of good natured fun, and mutual respect for the most part. Of course every school has their knuckleheads and jackasses in their fan base too. Resorting to vandalism, and especially of such a nature as to what this clown did is inexcusable. I hope he gets some jail time, and has to pay some costly bucks towards saving the trees if possible, or replacing them with newly transplanted adult trees if the worst comes to worst. Even then it doesn't undo the stupidity and hurt he's caused, nor can anyone bring dead trees back to life, if his poisoning job kills the trees off. A truly fitting punishment, if it were possible, would be for the University of Alabama to ban him from ever attending any of their games, at home or away, let alone ever setting foot on their campus for the rest of his natural life, as a sign they consider him a disgrace as a fan. Most likely, all he'll get is some token time in the pokey, and a nominal fine at best. What a jerk.

With that, the TB College Football season kicks off with people bashing Bama. Of course, we all know it isn't the university's fault some jagoff did this.

I'd be really surprised if any Bama booster bankrolled this guys defense.

That's why it will be done behind the scenes, very quietly.

There are people in Alabama who's inheritance hinges on them never setting foot in Lee county (the county in which Auburn University is located).

And this wouldn't be the only thing that would surprise you about Alabama football. They don't see it as a game, it's more like "kill the other guy and his mother if you have to, just win and bring home cham-peenship number 14"

On a more amusing note...

It sounds like he is, and if he's an Auburn fan I'm not surprised. It sounds like a classic case of Auburn Inferiority Complex. See it every day of my life. Most Auburn fans aren't like this, not by a long shot. But the one's who are think that 99% of all Alabama fans are worthless trash.

The tree poisoning thing is hideous, but honestly I think there are group of Auburn fans in the Tuscaloosa area that have been asking for it. For weeks, since the Iron Bowl, Bear Bryants statue has been covered with gum in the shape of AU, or Auburn stickers, or wearing a Cam Newton jersey. It's spray painted, marked all over with sharpees, etc. They also wrote the score 28-27 using rye grass on the field. Now granted, all those things are much less serious to me than poisoning 100 year old trees. But I find it ridiculous that Auburn fans are losing their minds over this and painting all of us as something we are not all over one person who obviously has mental stability issues.

My point made, by an Alabama fan. Eublet, I have no inferiority complex, just less flags on my vehicle than you. And admit it, the first thing out of your mouth when you heard it was "Roll Tide". As soon as you stopped laughing.

I have no dog in this fight, but you presume quite a bit.

I'm hoping that A&M can do as well as last year or possibly even improve our record. Or at the very least we could win a bowl game for once.

Since you're reading my mind, What do I presume? I'm feet on the ground in Alabama, I have to live with these people.

Add that to the fact that a guy dumped toxic chemicals on historic trees in a heavily populated and traveled area, and called a radio talk show to brag about it. And you have to ask if I'M SERIOUS??????

Oh no, someone finally got upset enough at the fact that the NCAA let Scam walk and poisened our trees. Had to be some Bama nutjob. I bet the university even lets its law students defend the guy. Probably even do it for free too.

It is terrible that it happened. I wouldn't want someone destroying a landmark at my favorite school over football, and it really sucks that it happens to be trees. However, I'm capable of seeing that this wasn't condoned by the university, nor was it "funded" by a booster. What one nutjob does on his own can't be tied to everyone in his team's fanbase.

Now that I've got that out of my system, we had the number 12 class in the country. I don't know what Dooley was promising those recruits, but I sure hope he can live up to his word.

Spring practice hasn't even hit for the schools, and the house is a rockin' already. I'm sure most Bama fans will denounce
the tree poisoning nut job, and I know I don't hold their fan base, or the school responsible.

Anyways, as a Husker loving boy, I'm still sorting out Pelini's staff changes in my head. It looks like he's searching for an
offensive identity to match the intensity of his Flying Defense Circus.(Finally! Thank you Coach Bo.) I'm more than excited
about the Huskers entrance into the Big 10+2 conference, but they are making sure they greet Big Red with a 'Howdy Neighbor' and a
punch in the face. Yep, that schedule is gonna be more than enough for the Huskers to handle this season, while they try to install
a new offense. I hope they get to a half way decent bowl game by the end of it. It's way too early for me to speculate and opinionate
on how this coming season's national title picture is gonna look like.

Isn't it amazing that none of these alleged atrocities committed by Auburn fans at Bryant-Denny came to light until the Alabama fan poisoned the oaks at Toomer's corner? Not a peep! Looks like spin and damage control to me, and I wouldn't be surprised if Alabama fans did it to distract from the Toomer's Corner incident. Then they could try to claim "See, they did it to us FIRST!!!"

Your comment bears repeating. Its out there, you said it, you can try to spin it and make it about me all you want, but it reveals what's in your heart and what I think the majority of Alabama fans feel. I'm quite sure your first response to the news of the trees being poisoned was "roll tide".

I went to school at Auburn. I've probably thrown more toilet paper into those trees than you have. Perhaps you shouldn't incriminate people you don't know. That's why I think you're delusional, and I'm done with you.

I don't know what you call that, but I'd certainly saying you're presuming quite a bit about his character. It seems like you're stereotyping every single person that's a Bama fan, it's quite presumptuous.

If Alabama fans think Auburn fans have an inferiority complex, that's what I'd call delusional.
