LOL! Yeah, I kinda thought that when I was writing it, but there was no other way to say it without just saying it, so I guess I'm comfortable in my masculinity. But seriously, just watching those guys walk around, the size and shape of their lower bodies was hard not to notice. They looked like body builders in the glutes and legs. Just a very powerful look just standing there, and then when they made plays on the field you could see how they use it. Of course I've watched Lester on TV for a long time, and been to Alabama games. But at the Senior Bowl, your practically on the field with them it seems because the stadium is so much smaller. It was easy to watch them set their lower body before making a hit, and then power through with the legs. It was the same thing all players do that have good fundamentals of course, but these 3 in particular just had that X factor.

Gillislee for example was very thick, every bit as thick as these three guys, but just looked softer and a bit less athletic. That's probably the word I'm looking for. Athletic. Those 3 guys looked like statues for the Greek Olympic games, except on heavy amounts of deer antler spray.

I forgot to add, but it was also fun watching Denard Robinson play the slot position. He's definitely an athlete and has all the right tools except for size. He looks small by comparison, short and thin. I suspect he could be a short threat in the NFL in some situations, but I don't know he could hold up to the constant pounding.

i would say you are right. he couldnt hold up to the pounding in the Little 10, no way he can in the NFL.

Who's ready for national signing day? I'm really excited about the classes this year. Alabama is already near the top, but there are a few big names that are trending towards us that will make this very likely the best recruiting class we've ever had. I'm just ready for the players to make up their mind and quit waffling.

This is definitely not going to be an easy hole to climb out of.

The problem for UT is they thought what happened in the 90s and early 00s was going to be the way things stayed. Unfortunately, in a very short period of time college football went from a good revenue generator to a massively huge business. Teams in the SEC in particular dedicated themselves to winning and therefore recruiting.

I don't know if the state of TN is dead last of the SEC states in producing talent but they are close. During their peak they were in a battle with Florida to be the best team in the SEC now they the 4th best team in the East division alone. The states that used to be where UT was able to hand pick top talent now have elite programs of their own (LSU, Arkansas, USC, UGA, UNC, Ole Miss sure some of these schools were good but they have all stepped up from where they were) plus now everybody is recruiting in Florida.

They are in trouble indeed. Maybe they shouldn't have fired Fulmer after all, I mean it isn't like he won a national championship or anything...oh wait he did

They shouldn't have fired Fulmer. He knew how to recruit, and he loved TN from the core of his being. It was a stupid move, and I don't like Fulmer.

Tomorrow is NSD!!!! Reuben Foster joined the Tide last night unless he has a change of heart by tomorrow. That was enough to put Bama at #1 again, but with 3 or 4 other huge names tracking towards us, this is already being described as possibly being the best recruiting class in history for any team. Really excited about tomorrow. NSD is always a lot of fun to watch for me.

I'm also enjoying watching some other teams get some big talent. Florida is pulling in some ultra critical skill players that they have been sorely lacking. USC is looking to lose some stud players. I love knowing that Kiffin is squirming over this.

I can hardly wait for tomorrow morning. Papers will start faxing in at 7 a.m. in each player's respective timezone. Woohoo!

USC had a very real opportunity to weather the storm and be back on top a lot sooner than most folks would have thought...but they went and hired Kiffin

Reuben Foster unveiled his decision to go to Auburn, (his first or second switch, I lost track) by taking a coat off of his young daughter to reveal an Auburn cheerleader outfit. She's 3 years old, and remember - he's STILL in high school.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUQAtdTu8c4

Then he got a big Auburn tattoo on his arm. Then he switches back to Alabama.

Well I am happy with Florida's haul. #3 on Rivals and #1 on ESPN. Plus we picked up a couple of nice recruits. The Bower situation was strange but not nearly as strange as Alex Collins

I feel bad for the kid.

+1. It's funny, I went to Espn and saw a long list of updates--"this recruit to School X" and so on--and I got concerned because there was no mention of UF. Then I went to the actual class rankings and saw we were #1, so it's all good.

Man, that kid is having a really tough day. Sad story.

Yeah a lot of spoiled Florida fans are complaining that we didn't get any huge commits today, but that is so backwards. What difference does it make when they commit if they are still there. In the end, Florida has a great class and I am excited. Plus, I like that many of these kids have been committed for some time. Shows that they really want to play for Florida.

Interesting. Right now ESPN has Utah showing 28 commits, tops in the PAC-12, with Washington State next at 27 commits. Five schools are at 26 (AZ, ASU, Cal, OSU and UCLA).

Looks like the Cougs are stocking up. They have an offensive tackle 6'9" and 351 pounds, a JC transfer who is 6'6" and 295 pounds, and another OT at 6'5" and 318 pounds. The offensive line is about to get bigger.

Numbers aren't everything. Quality and filling needs are just as important.

ESPN is the only one that has Florida at #1. IMHO, ESPN's recruit system is sorely lacking. Still, if you're on their list anywhere in the top 20, you're doing great. I don't think anyone refers to ESPN rankings though except for ESPN.

That said, Florida is #3 at Rivals, which is still absolutely stellar, as is anything in the top 10 on their list.
