Seriously guys? No new thread till Tuesday night? No one care anymore?
Yeah, I know, we aren't playing anyone worth talking about this weekend. FIU is just another way to spell BYE.
So when we score 175 points this weekend, does that mean our offense is back???

So will the Gators outshine Alabama against the mighty Golden Panthers?

-Mike | I'm trying REALLY hard not to look past our next two games. In some ways, I'm really looking forward to this weeks game against UTC. We should see a full half of our bench playing, which they desparately need for next year. It'll give us a good indication of where we might be next year.
As for Florida, same thing. You guys need this game. I actually don't mind a weak opponent late in the season just because it gives the young guys a chance to demonstrate what they've spent all year learning and watching from the starters. Critical for next year's success.

Oklahoma at Texas Tech this week. Should make for a pretty interesting game.
Colorado plays at Oklahoma State on Thursday. Colorado doesn't seem to have done as well this season, whereas OSU has been the big shocker in the conference.
Texas hosts Kansas for what will be a bloodbath.
Iowa State at Mizzou. I know a lot of students at SEMO driving do see this one, but I can't say I'll be paying much attention to it.
Kansas State at Nebraska. The Huskers' defense will be too solid for K State.
Baylor at Texas A&M. Aggies should have home field advantage, but my guess would be that they have their eyes set on next week more than anything. |

-Mike | I saw on ESPN that no Top 25 teams are playing any other Top 25 teams this weekend.
I'm kinda playing out the string like most of us. I've got colliding rooting interests that are complicating things for me. My love for my Horned Frogs is overtaking my shameless Texas honking. Here's a perfect end to the season for Fo:
Auburn beats Bama or FSU beats Florida. I don't care which. Of those 2, the undefeated one is beat in the SECCG. Texas and TCU play for the title. Or.....
A & M beats Texas. TCU plays Bama or Florida. Definitely the lesser of the 2 scenarios.
Sadly, neither will happen. TCU is blocked by big conference bias. They will go to either the Orange or the Fiesta and absolutely POUND some poor team and finish #2 in the nation.

Auburn has just looked horrible against anyone decent this year, while FSU and the Aggies have both played good games against good opponents. Still, they're all long shots. I'd really like to see TCU play one of the top 3 teams as well while they're still undefeated. I know they'll get a shot at Bama or Florida in the Sugar Bowl, but then there's the whole "let down" factor people will talk about if TCU wins over the SECCG loser, valid or not. It would be nice to see a straight up championship game with the winner taking all the spoils. TCU looks good from all angles, no doubt.

It looks like Geaorgia Tech as the likely opponent.

As for FSU--I never take them lightly, but they did lose their starting QB the Saturday before last. The freshman replacement looked very good against Wake, but their defense stinks. On the other hand, it's a rivalry game, FSU will be playing for a bowl bid if they lost to Maryland, and the defense might be in "win one for Mickey Andrews" mode--which would mean more cheap shots than ever.

I think Bama beats Auburn by 4 touchdowns.

I think Bama beats Auburn by 4 touchdowns. | That's conservative. Auburn is sucking at levels not seen on the plains in some time.

pacific time, uf plays fiu at 9:30am, then cal plays at stanford at 4:30. i'm not going to the game, and i'm not sure if i'm watching that over nebraska/k-state.
if fsu beats uf, then i will hate urban meyer forever. we should NOT lose to the worst fsu team in decades.
sorry, texas fans, but i hope that texas drops one (or two) against a-n-m and/or nebraska. i want tcu to get a shot... and for florida to beat'em, fair and square! (if the gators play against the horned frogs, spikes's fingers will be drenched with blood by the end of the game... ) |

I also think Cincinnati vs. SEC runner-up would be a good game - Bearcats looked really good vs. WV. Their game vs. Pittsburgh will be fun. Before the upset, people were dismissing Utah as a sucky opponent last year.

If it's for the title, fine. If not, the Sugar Bowl will do. The Frogs want to measure themselves against the best..... In the last several years TCU has beat the big hitters in the Big 12. The exception being Texas (that makes TCU fans CRAZY). We want a shot at the big boys. We are not interested in GA Tech, Cinci, Iowa, etc..... We want to play Goliath, not Goliath's little sister.
