Well, new to me, really. Got sick of my Accord (bad shape, too small for gear), so I replaced it:
For a car in my area, this is IMMACULATE! Low miles, all service done, good price, and most importantly:
It can easily fit my rig, some basses and maybe a groupie or too! (Just kidding, dear!).
The bass related note of this (aside from it's functionality for this bassist) is that the old car will be sold to buy more bass gear.
"WINNING!" - Carlos Estevez
Now, off to the store in search of Indigo Girls albums, Birkenstocks, and flannel shirts.

What year is that one? My wife's about due for a newer Subie wagon. |

Waiting on the stereo wiring adapter to install my better stuff (pioneer head and infinity sub)

Not bad for a tailgate picnic with your gf/wife either. |

You going to trick it out?

If you consider the stereo, satellite radio and subwoofer... then yes, it'll be slightly tricked.
May get it tinted, may add a bike rack. Not going to turbo or lower or anything like that. Just want a reliable vehicle, for a change.

But, if you did decide to trick out your ride, that is the place to learn how to do it.

Now IF I were to trick it out, I'd certainly want to do an STI swap and maybe even something silly like a RWD conversion... but that kind of money gets spent on bass stuff long before I can save it up.

Great gig wagon. |

Well, that, and to fix a few small issues on the Legacy (squeaky noise when I turn right... sounds like rubbing an inflated balloon.)

I almost bought one off of an untrustworthy used car lot,...but I got a screaming deal on a car that is often mistaken for a Subaru:
95 Accord Wagon. Bought it off of my wife's coworker who came $800 down from his asking price for us. Mechanically in great shape,...starting to need some maintenance but so far the only money I've had to put into it is oil, gas and tires and I've been driving it for a year and a half now. Tranny could use an overhaul. Comfortably hauls my gear. Same deal; adult owned with well kept service records.
The only thing that set's Subaru slightly above Honda in my book is the AWD,...but with a set of studs,...I didn't have too much trouble getting around this winter.
My cassette deck is kaput,...but I can get an RCA adapter that will plug into the CD changer signal input on the stock stereo.
Once I get in a comfortable position with my new job; I want to get an old Loyale/Leone Wagon and fix her up.
I think it's more for older Subarus but check the Ultimate Subaru Message Board. Ultimate Subaru Message Board

His wagon has the JDM H22 Prelude motor in it (helped him with the swap). It's awesome!

Hacker: Heavy Drone FX | | Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Spokane, WA. | | | The Accord Wagons seemed rare in Virginia Beach,...but I've seen 3 or 4 CE-1s (my year) and 2 or 3 CB-7s (the model before mine). Mine's a Manual Tranny which I'm told only 200 manual wagons were sold in the US.
I'd love to throw an H22 in mine, tranny could use an overhaul,...but I want backup transportation if I pull a project like that...it could happen but I've been too busy with my apprenticeship and not making a whole lot of money ATM. Projects for the future.
I'm happy to be a bicycle commuter but the shop I'm working at is an hour bike ride away (by paved trails) and it's still a little cold. Plans are to bring the shop closer to town so I'd only be using my car to haul gear and to be part of the club (Either the Soobie club or the Accord Wagon Owners club). |
