I think the biggest problem with flying cars will not be so much making a car that can fly, but more realistically, regulating traffic/airspace and when/where these flying cars will be allowed to fly. Theres an entire infrastructure that will need to be created before flying cars can realistically be implimented.

It's the one more thing that can go wrong principal, I guess.
