Need Good Android Tablet eReader App

There are hundreds, apparently, but the ones I've tried are all pretty weak so far.

I bought this thing primarily to use as a reader of downloadable epub-format stuff off the various free libraries.

I particularly want to be able to adjust the color and intensity of the background, and be able to manage the files and settings without it malfunctioning. And I want it to be free.

It's not free and I had trouble with their new basic version that is. There are apparently some bugs in it.
