Nerve damage?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everybody,
Over the last few years I have had problems with my right hand going numb, and have recently learned I have a nerve in my left shoulder that is severely pinched, (Or something along those lines) and to correct it apparently the only thing that can/ will permanently fix it is pretty serious surgery. One of my good friends who is in his late 40's has the same problem, but it has gone ignored and undiagnosed and thus has gotten to the point of constant pain and numbness. I am really hoping that I can find some way other than surgery to fix this, because if it gets any worse and i cant play bass...
Sorry for the long winded post, Just really stressed about this and felt the need to just rant about it. Also, any advice, or anyone who has / had a similar problem knows of any ways other than surgery to fix it, any input or discussion would be appreciated.

You can't "fix" nerve damage like that, but you can have corrective surgery to prevent further damage. Sometimes physical therapy will alleviate the symptoms. If you are able, I suggest visiting a physical therapist.
