I used my Netflix account quite a bit for bluray, DVDs and some streaming, now I'm looking around online.
Has anybody switched from Netflix? To who and why. What kind of service? Did you stick it out with Netflix. Did you cancel that type of service? What is your favorite color? The meaning of life? Why does one nut hang lower?
All good questions, don't ya thing. |

I'm still trying to get my head around what happened. I know rates went up, but what else?

Then there was something about Starz no longer making their flicks available or something like that.

ruined it, got greedy in my book. If there was another alternative I would cancel it all together. What their doing is the same reason I kicked the the cable company out of my house and went them in the 1st place. |

They jacked their cost to NetFlix way up. |

The studios that own so much of the content didn't give credence to the value of online access a few years ago, so Netflix got great licensing deals. Now that the studios have gotten wise, they're trying to leverage the value that Netflix proved was there in first place. But everyone wants to whine about how Netflix is "screwing" them with the price hikes. Shades of how record companies dismissed the promise of internet access, until forward-thinkers showed them what the future was all about.
I have the one DVD plus streaming option, so my rates went up. I always thought Netflix was under-priced. I tried Hulu for a week, and even with the premium service, you still get commercial interruptions inflicted on you. Intolerable.
Even at the current rate, Netflix is still the best deal going, IMO.

| | | | I'm got 2 DVDs and streaming. I have to use the streaming, cause my wife keeps pushing her DVDs up to the top of the list so it's the only way I get to see a movie |

If I need a movie, I'll hit up the local RedBox. Favorite color, ironically is red. The meaning of life is 42. And one nut hangs lower for aerodynamics.
