New Fodera tattoo

Sign in to disble this ad
Thought you guys would like to see this while it's still fresh... Actually, a little *too* fresh, haha... it's still bleeding a bit, but I'm sure it will come down in a few hours:

The rest of my tattoos (except for the bass clef on my wrist) are all woodland/faerie/fantasy/elf folklore-kind of themed, and I thought this would fit in perfectly with the rest of it. I don't own a Fodera and actually don't even really want one (I *love* my Ristola, and I'm a big MTD fan), but I've always loved their logo. A friend of mine painted the specific butterfly wings design, and another friend of mine did the tattoo of it, with the "f" in the middle. Here's a higher-resolution photo link:

Just thought I'd share! Happy bass-playing, everybody!

Nice!
I agree with you about not wanting to own a Fodera, but the logo is awesome.
One of these days I'll get around to posting my ink.

Haha, well, I've played several and they are really great basses, but just my personal preference, I like Ritter, Ristola, and MTD better. I really like the MTD "world" logo also, but I think the Fodera logo makes a better tattoo, especially in fitting with the rest of my stuff.

Here's the painting my friend made originally:

That is a beautiful piece of body art and I really like how you tied the logo in so tastefully!

I might not have a Fodera tattoo but I sure do want a Fodera bass! Why don't they make them with graphite necks?

They prefer a less sterile sound!

Dave - great tattoo idea. Did you have to wait 2-3 years for it?

you have a colour choice of black, natural (should look interesting) or blue.

Cool. You ought to see if you can parley that into some kind of a discount.

Thanks, everybody!

Haha, well, what can I say; I'm Sicilian. Actually, now that you mention it, maybe subconsciously, that's why I'm drawn to this company & their logo... "fodera" is Sicilian for "butterfly."
